Spot of rain in Woy Woy yesterday. Had very nearly forgotten what it looked like.
Yeah, my memories of Woy Woy tend to be of either long droughts or heavy downpours (not at the same time, of course), and storms -- lightning and thunder, heavy wind. The difference with here, where it's expected to not rain at all for six to nine months of each year, is striking -- as is the fact that we have no storms at all. What coastal Californians call "storms" are usually just mild rain systems coming in off the Pacific. We get maybe two small rather mild thunderstorms a year here. I miss those Woy Woy storms...
